A History of Khorezm - is the history of the Amudarya flowing through the Karakum and Kizilkum deserts, along with the huge spaces of ancient Khorezm oasis. Moistening the ground where it flowed and making it fertile, Amudarya has been the source of life over hundreds of years in blazing desert sands. Therefore, the towns, fortresses, and settlements have always followed the riverbed constantly changing its direction. Abu Raykhan Al Beruni.

Day 1
Breakfast, a departure from Nukus or from Khiva (if departing from Khiva then the itinerary will be re-arranged accordingly). [1]
Ancient Zoroastrian dakhma Chilpik (Tower of silence). Sightseeing takes about 30-60 minutes. [2]
Baday tugai - natural reserve. Sightseeing takes about 30-40 minutes. [3]
Sultan Vays Baba mausoleum. About 20 minutes to see. [4]
Toprak-kala settlement. About an hour to explore. [5]
Lunch in the restaurant near Akshakol lake.
Alternative lunch in the yurt camp near the Ayaz-kala, which is a 30 minutes trip from Toprak-kala.
Ayaz-kala fortress. 1-2 hours to explore. [6]
Kyrk-qyz kala fortress. About 30-40 minutes.
Arrival in Khiva or Nukus (if started from Khiva). [7]

We also accept group tour requests for this type of tour. We are able to accommodate groups of up to 12 tourists in total. For group tours, hiring a guide is a must.
Group tours must be canceled at least 2 weeks prior to the confirmed date, excluding emergency circumstances.
